Pompeii Travel Guide keeps data collection to a minimum. This page explains, in plain terms, what little information is gathered when you read our guides to the excavations, Herculaneum and Vesuvius, and what you can do about it.

What This Site Collects

Very little. The site runs one standard analytics package that records anonymous, aggregated visits: pages viewed, rough location at city level, device type and referrer. A content network sits in front of the site to serve pages quickly and block abusive traffic. We do not build user profiles, and we do not run advertising trackers or social media pixels alongside them.

Cookies And Links You Follow

A few cookies keep the site working and feed the analytics figures above. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time; the guide pages will still load. When you follow a link to a live booking page for a tour, that visit leaves this site. The booking provider then applies its own privacy policy, its own cookies and its own payment handling. Read its terms before you book.

Cookies We Use

If you write to us about a tour, a correction or a question about visiting Pompeii, we keep your message and address only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we delete correspondence once the matter is settled unless you ask us to keep it.

Your Choices

You control most of this in your browser. Block or delete cookies and the analytics side of the site simply stops recording your visits, while every guide, tour listing and practical page stays fully readable. Nothing here requires an account, so there is no profile to close. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address in the footer.
